Introduction

NUIST offers a full range of higher education programs, including undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, and post-doctoral research opportunities. Its Atmospheric Science program is especially renowned, ranking first in China according to the Ministry of Education, and is highly regarded worldwide. NUIST has developed a balanced academic system that includes atmospheric science, marine science, information science, environmental science, management, and basic science.

Key Discipline

The Atmospheric Science program at NUIST started in 1960 to support China’s meteorological needs. It began offering master’s degrees in 1978 and was authorized to award doctoral degrees in 1993. A postdoctoral research center was set up in 1999 for this discipline. The Meteorology and Climatology sub-discipline was recognized as a key area by the China Meteorological Administration in 1988, and Meteorology was named a national key discipline in 2001. It was reassessed and confirmed as a National Key Discipline in 2007. In 2012, it was ranked first in China in university evaluations by the Ministry of Education. In 2017, it received “Double First-class” status and an “A+” grade in the latest evaluations.

Currently, NUIST offers six doctoral programs in areas like Atmospheric Science, Environmental Science and Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, Management Science and Engineering, Mathematics, and the History of Science and Technology, along with 22 master’s programs and 13 professional master’s programs.

Introduction

Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST) is a university that focuses on engineering but also offers courses in science, arts, economics, management, and education. ZUST is located in Hangzhou, a city known for its history and beauty, and is the capital of Zhejiang Province, one of China’s wealthiest areas. The university is set near Xiaohe Mountain, surrounded by hills and a peaceful lake, and is just a short ride from West Lake, a famous scenic spot.

The Chinese Government has chosen ZUST as a pilot school for Chinese-German cooperation, particularly in training career-focused talents. It organizes the “Chinese-German Education Forum” and was among the first universities to implement the national “Cultivating Excellent Engineers” project. ZUST’s growth is linked to its international partnerships. Since its start, it has worked with Germany and is now a key platform for education and tech collaboration between Zhejiang Province and Germany. ZUST has official partnerships with over 50 universities in countries like Germany, USA, Italy, UK, Australia, France, Japan, and more.

ZUST offers 10 undergraduate and 2 postgraduate programs in English. It also provides a Business Chinese bachelor’s degree for beginners in the Chinese language and welcomes transfer students with basic Chinese skills. With expanding international partnerships and unique degree programs, ZUST is attracting more international students. In 2014, over 1,400 international students from 97 countries studied there.

Introduction

East China University of Technology (ECUT), originating from Taigu Geological School and was established in 1956. As a state defense institution and the first college in nuclear industry in China, ECUT has enjoyed a history of over 60 years with fine reputation in research and education. In 1958, the school moved to Fuzhou and later to Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. Presently ECUT is jointly run by Jiangxi Government and China Atomic Energy Association (CAEA), the Ministry of Natural Resource (MNR), China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC).

Since its establishment, ECUT has focused its education and research in the field of Nuclear Science and Geology Science, with the relevant disciplines developed gradually. Based on the featured disciplines ECUT has developed into the fields of Geological Tourism, Geological Economy, Geological Chemistry, and Geological Environment etc. So far, ECUT has extended its education and research to engineering, science, language, management, economy and arts, among which 3 doctoral program, 71 master programs and 72 bachelor programs, forming more than 20 schools and research centers.

Introduction

East China Jiaotong University (ECJTU) is located in Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi Province, China, a city which has a long history of culture. Situated in the middle of China, Nanchang has convenient transportation network including high-speed railway, aviation and expressway. It takes only 3 or 4 hours to Shanghai or Guangzhou by taking the high-speed railway. ECJTU nestles near a mountain, with a river running beside and a few lakes dotted inside. Like a wonderful landscape with blooming flowers and exuberantly growing trees scattered here and there, and birds chorusing inside at times, the campus is an ideal place for teaching, learning and living. Among the school size of nearly 3000 mu (200 hectares), the area of buildings of all kinds exceeds 810,000 square meters. Apart from advanced equipment for teaching and scientific researches whose value is estimated to total 480 million Yuan, ECJTU has a library, as a first-class Chinese retrieval station for academic journals and documents, boasting 2.41million volumes of books and journals, and over 2.33 million volumes of electronic documents.

ECJTU is composed of 18 schools covering 8 disciplines, including Engineering, Economics, Management, Literature, Science, Law, Education and Arts. ECJTU is a multidisciplinary teaching- and research-oriented institution featuring transportation with track as its core, it has 3 doctoral programs of the first-rank disciplines and 21 master’s programs of the first-rank disciplines. SCHOLARSHIPS

Undergraduate Scholarships: Students receive a 10,000 yuan scholarship for the first two years. Additional scholarships are awarded in the third and fourth years.

Scholarship Prizes: First Prize: 10,000 RMB; Second Prize: 5,000 RMB; Third Prize: 2,000 RMB.

Full Scholarships: Available for Medical Master, PhD, Bachelor of Pharmacy, and Medicine programs.

Eligibility requires students to be non-Chinese citizens in good health, demonstrate good academic performance and social conduct, and not receive other scholarships or financial aid. Applications are assessed annually based on performance and behavior.

Introduction

Zhejiang International Studies University (ZISU for short) was founded in 1955, is a public university located in Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang Province. Ever since 2010, ZISU is making effort to develop international education, offering bachelor programs, non-degree programs, exchange programs and internship programs to international students from all over the world. To meet different needs of students, ZISU is now developing more degree programs in English, stratification and mini-class teaching as well.     Nanchang Institute of Technology (NIT), a public university, is located in Nanchang, capital of Jiangxi Province in the east central of China. NIT covers a land area of 136.5 hectares, and owns Yaohu Campus and Pengqiao Campus. NIT boasts beautiful scenery and excellent educational and teaching resources.

    As a tertiary educational institution, NIT specialises in multidisciplinary education of engineering, management, science, agriculture, liberal arts, economics, fine arts etc., and has distinctive characteristics in the discipline of water conservancy and electric power. With over 19,000 full-time students among which we have over 1000 postgraduate students, and more than 1500 staff members, NIT proudly offers 58 undergraduate programmes and 13 postgraduate programmes . Moreover, 5 state-level sci-tech research platforms, and 15 provincial-level key laboratories or engineering research centers in NIT facilitate and support its high quality education.

   NIT provides both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for international students in fall 2024 (refer to Enrollment Programmes). The duration for postgraduate programmes is 3 years, and that for undergraduate programmes is 4 years. Scholarships:

In order to encourage excellent international students to study in NIT, “Excellent Freshmen Scholarship”, “Academic Scholarship”, and “HSK Outstanding Scholarship” for international students are provided . With the same purpose, Jiangxi provincial government awards those excellent students who choose to study in Jiangxi Province “Scholarship Offered by Jiangxi Provincial Government for Outstanding International Students”.

Excellent Freshman Scholarship for International Students is rewarded to those undergraduate and postgraduate students who apply for the programmes for no less than 4-year study in NIT.

       Scholarship for undergraduate students is RMB 20,000 yuan/person;

       Scholarship for postgraduate students is RMB 25,000 yuan/person;

Academic Scholarship for International Students is used as a reward for excellent sophomores to senior undergraduate students, postgraduate students in NIT.

 The first-class scholarship is RMB 20,000 yuan/person/year;

 The second-class scholarship is RMB 15,000 yuan/person/year;

 The third-class scholarship is RMB 10,000 yuan/person/year.

HSK Outstanding Scholarship:  All the international students obtaining HSK certificates of levels 5 and 6 during their study in NIT are eligible to apply for HSK Outstanding Scholarship and will be rewarded with RMB 800 yuan and 1,000 yuan respectively.

Scholarship Offered by Jiangxi Provincial Government for Outstanding International Students consists of three classes of standards, specifically as follows:

       Class-A Scholarship: RMB 25,000yuan/person/year, offered to outstanding international students accepting doctorate/master’s education in Jiangxi

       Class-B Scholarship: RMB 20,000yuan/person/year, offered to outstanding international students accepting undergraduate education in Jiangxi.

N.T: For “Scholarship Offered by Jiangxi Provincial Government for Outstanding International Students” offered by Jiangxi government and “Excellent Freshman Scholarship for International Students” as well as “Academic Scholarship for International Students” offered by NIT, international students could only choose either of them from the government or NIT.
